Holland Park Art Exhibition 2024

My first blog post! What to write about ? …

It would go amiss if I were not to mention the special year for the 40th Friends of Holland Park Art Exhibition 2024 in London , starting on the 6th April to the 14th of April, in which I have participated the last few years, and this year is no exception.

This is a wonderful event, bringing the community together. The exhibition was created by the architect and chairman of “The Friends of Holland Park”, Sir Hugh Casson” in order to support local emerging and established artists, as well as contributing towards the maintenance and enhancement of Holland Park.

The exhibition is held in the Orangery, the beautiful glass building in Holland Park, near a small pond and the Japanese Gardens, where you may find the occasional wandering peacock!. 35% of the art sales go towards “The Friends”. Its a win win situation! Please do come by if you can!

For those of you far away, I hear some of you wonder, “So what if there is an exhibition in a little park in London, England, far away!” Understandably so! Well, I leave with this thought, to artists and non artists alike, may be there is a park near you, where an art exhibition can be set up in liaison with a local community group, bringing art, people and green spaces together?

A worthy cause in most parts of the world, wherever you live …may the yearly Holland Park Art Exhibition serve as an example..
